Commercial Crime / White Collar Fraud

I am available to represent defendants facing white collar fraud and related charges either on a private retainer or on legal aid (if approved).  My financial markets background puts me in a great position to be able to get to grips with complex material quickly and advise you on your best options whether resolving your case via plea or defending the case at trial.

I have acted for the Securities Commission/FMA in criminal proceedings, as well civil pecuniary penalty proceedings, under the Securities Act, Securities Markets Act, and the Financial Markets Conduct Act in cases alleging market manipulation, insider trading, and continuous disclosure breaches.

I have been a member of the Serious Fraud Office Panel of Prosecutors since 2010 and have prosecuted many fraud cases, including prosecuting a former Cook Islands Minister of the Crown for bribery and corruption, as well as a number of the finance company cases that followed the finance company collapse after the GFC.

In my former role as a prosecutor, I acted for the Crown in numerous jury trials involving serious criminal offending, including complex and serious fraud.

I will put that experience and knowledge to work for you to best protect your interests and guide you through the process.
